Welcome to Donkey Crossing! Donkey Crossing is an on-line account of one Limey and one Yank living one Dream. From September 2006 until the end of 2007, we plan to visit friends and family on five continents and immerse ourselves into various cultures, natural phenomena and ways of life. The Reward After A Long Journey
Rachel and I have found that many of the greatest places in the world we've visited, have been the result of the most challenging journeys. Our most recent voyage to the Ameln Valley and the Anti-Atlas Mountains is a prime example.
Sunrise from the backseat of a bus in the Anti-Atlas Mountains, Southern Morocco.
After two interesting bus rides (where we witnessed fighting, vomiting and moaning), a couple "petit" taxis (imported Renaults which grossly overcharge foreigners), a "grand" taxi (usually a white, mid-1980s diesel Mercedes stuffed with seven passengers) and a dodgy bus station hotel where we rested our heads for a few hours, we made it to the Anti-Atlas.
Another view of the Anti-Atlas after opening an eye to the birth of a beautiful day.
Stay tuned to read about our exciting hiking and biking adventures through the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the Berber villages of the Ameln Valley.

One final shot of an amazing wake-up call.

SALAAM!!!
